While I am an ordinary Danes, I do believe in our unofficial but most vitale part of our Danish constitution - the one which has not been approved in parliament but the part all we Danes have lived by for generations.

The laws of Jante

If something sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

A lot of places promise that they can take care of our children. They claim to have the best interest of our children. They pay parents off and promise children freedom or other rewards in exchange for a positive review of their enterprise which can be a boarding school, wilderness program or boot camp.

In reality they destroy lives. Many of the teenagers who went to these places suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, many decided that they could not live anymore and decided to commit suicide. Many families have been torn apart. For some the placement has proven to be unforgiven.

I believe that there is a message to be given to the public. That is why I have created this website. I give a voice to those who were hurt. You will find a lot of testimonies from a lot of places and they almost everyone carry the same message: Let your children decide their own path in life. They can make good choices, they can make bad choices. Settle with being the role model for the life you want for them.

Children can see and they only learn how to listen and talk years after they were born. In the meantime they have observed you and learned both your good habits and bad habits.

Never forget that!
